    Description:

    We have been appointed by Carillion Build to complete the Facing Brickwork and all associated sundries on the construction of the new Heath School in Runcorn. The Heath School was due to be one of the first schools to be rebuilt as part of the Priority Schools Building Programme, however due to 10 years of delays and setbacks works did not commence until October 2016. The redeveloped school will be able to accommodate 1,050 pupils with a 20-student sixth form. The new building will include a new sports and community centre with 4 court Sports Hall, Activity Hall, Dance and Drama studios, cafeteria. External features include a new tennis courts, an amphitheatre and external dining terrace and new refectory. The building will also house a new Sixth Form Centre and specialist laboratories, workshops and classrooms befitting a 21st Century School.

    The masonry package will commence in April 2017 and take 8 weeks to complete. Works include a Blue Brick Façade and insulated cavity against an SFS inner leaf. Several metres of Masonry Support are also required to the large curtain walling opening to the Refectory area.

    Description:

    The project involves the construction of a new ten screen cinema pre let to The Light Cinema with ground floor leisure and retail space along with the construction of a new 360 space multi storey car park in the heart of Stockport town centre . McCrory Brickwork are undertaking all internal blockwork, windposts and external brickwork to the project which is scheduled to open in late 2017.

    Description:

    The project comprises a new-build development of circa 158 apartments, 80 space Car park at first floor level and mixed use retail and residential uses at ground floor on a brownfield site . McCrory Brickwork are undertaking all blockwork to the ground floor and level 1 forming retail units and circulation spaces. Riser are being constructed from level 1 to level 8. Eric Wright are the main contractor appointed by the client Manchester Life Development Company. The project is due for completion in May 2018.

  • Manchester Business School

    Description:

    We were initially appointed by Mace Limited to complete the General Builderswork package on the £84M redevelopment of Manchester Business School, and our involvement with the project also led to further securing the brick and blockwork package. The refurbishment of the Alliance Manchester Business School (ABMS) forms part of the Manchester University’s £1bn Campus Masterplan. The plans also include extensive remodelling and refurbishment of the existing 300,000 ft2 Business School, to provide significant modernisation and improvements to its teaching and administrative accommodation, and a new library and enterprise zone, as well as updated catering facilities. The old precinct centre will be extensively redeveloped to create a 45,500 ft2 retail and leisure space with double-height glazed facades looking out onto Oxford Road.

    The masonry package commenced in October 2016 for a period of approximately 30 weeks. Works include Facing Brickwork, Internal Blockwork, General Builderwork and Scaffolding.

  • Extra Care Scheme, Haworth Close, Bury

    Extra Care Scheme, Haworth Close, Bury

    Description:

    We have been appointed by Eric Wright Construction to undertake the brickwork and blockwork package on Haworth Close Bury, constructing 60 number extra care apartments with communal facilities on the 1.56 hectare site which had previously accommodated two day care centres which have been demolished to allow for the construction of the new build.

    The development will provide high quality rented and affordable apartments with the facility offering 24 hour staffing and a range of communal facilities. The building is constructed with sections of Sterling Grey brick to offer a contrast to the predominant  Hadley Red brick. Internal partitions are all blockwork with the works constructed over ground, first and second floors.
